Every mother and newborn has their own unique feeding journey. Hera's Prenatal Consult is the perfect time to review your feeding goals and discuss how to optimize your feeding journey. This prenatal consult will entail a maternal health history review, education tailored to your specific needs, and care planning designed to help you reach your feeding goals.
There are various reasons why mothers need additional lactation support after delivery. If you are struggling with breastfeeding or with reaching your feeding goals, you are not alone! We provide home visits and virtual consults to that are high quality and evidence based. Let us help you reach your feeding goals and have a positive experience during your unique feeding journey.
Christine is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who started her career working with babies, mothers, and their families in 2001. She is a mother of two and developed a passion for supporting moms and babies after the birth of her firstborn. Christine has extensive Lactation Consulting experience with all types of mother and baby dyads from the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Birth Center, well baby newborn clinic, and the outpatient medically complex infant population. Additionally, Christine has experience working as a Maternity Care Coordination Nurse for pregnant and postpartum mothers.
Christine also has experience working with mothers experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). She has completed PMAD training with Postpartum Support International. She is currently a volunteer for Postpartum Support International as a Support Coordinator in the Broomfield and Boulder region.
Christine has had an expert, compassionate, and dedicated approach since her earliest days as a bedside RN. She is a two-time recipient of the coveted Daisy Award. Daisy Award recipients are recognized for the nursing values: Extraordinary Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Discovery, Integrity and Teamwork.
Christine founded Hera so that she can love on the mamas who desire postpartum education and lactation support, and to give back to the universe what had been so gracefully given to her as a new mom: expert, quality, evidence based, and family centered nursing care.
